Extended Service Contract
What is the difference between a Warranty and a Service contract? Why Buy a Service Contract?
People who are in the market for a new or used car may be asked to purchase an auto service contract to defend themselves against unexpected, costly repairs.

Although a service contract is sometimes called an "extended warranty,"  it is not a warranty.

A warranty comes with the original price of the car, whereas a service contract costs extra.

It is mainly this separate and extra cost that distinguishes a service contract from a warranty. Even though warranty is commonly used to describe a service contract the noticeable difference is the cost.
Buying a Service contract is kind of like health insurance for your vehicle. Purchasing an extended service contract will cover you for the majority of your loan.

A vehicle service contract is a wise choice. Over a 5-year period, statistics show that the average person will use a service contract more than any other form of insurance, yet it is the least expensive. A service contract assures you safe and reliable tranpsortation.

As time goes by, your vehicle is more and more likely to suffer a mechanical breakdown. Mechanical breakdowns are becoming more and more expensive to repair, and they are never convenient. A service contract can protect you from those large, unexpected repair bills.
How long is the Service Contract good for?  How much does the Service Contract cost?
If the vehicle you purchase has under 80,000 miles on it then the extended service contract will be good for 36 months or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first)

If the vehicle you purchase has 80,000-124,999 miles on it then the extended service contract will be good for 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first)

If the vehicle you purchase has 125,000-150,000 miles on it then the extended service contract will be good for 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first)
It depends on the vehicle you purhcase and the mileage on it.
Warranties range anywhere from $1024-$1480.

We will finance the warranty for you so you don't have to come out of pocket any money up front. It's worked right into your payments.

Typically, purchasing a warranty will cause your payments to go up about $30 per month if you choose to purchase one.
What's an example scenario if say, my transmission or engine goes bad? What is covered and not covered?

Basically if your transmission starts having problems then you just take it to a transmission shop. The shop calls in the claim, they send an inspector out to look at it then they decide from there. Very rarely do they not cover a transmission. You then pay your $100 deductible. This may include a rebuilt transmission or even a used one. You can take it anywhere and places like Aamco are good choices and we can also recommend a few others. In some cases depending on the damage or vehicle you may have to come out of pocket a little more than just the deductible like a couple hundred more dollars. This is because of items that may need replacing that are not covered. However, in most cases $100 deductible is all you have to pay. So basically anywhere from $100-$400 you get a $1500-$2500 repair covered. Not bad and that one repair pretty much pays for the warranty right there and then some.

So your engine goes bad-will it be covered? Depends. If the car overheated and you kept driving it while it was hot and engine damage occured because of that then no. If you didn't properly maintain your vehicle such as oil changes and regular maintenance then no. If you don't have oil change and maintenance receipts then probably not. Make sure you keep receipts of all maintenance so if this does happen you will have a better chance of getting it covered.

For a full list of covered items see below.
This is not bumper to bumper coverage. Maintenance items such as oil changes, brakes, tires, clutches, belts, etc. are not covered. Only items listed in the contract are covered.

See below for a description of exact items that are covered and exlusions.
